I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to our Ain’t No Shade in Cade Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026 at 8:30 AM, at the ESA Upper School Campus, 1557 Smede Rd at Hwy 92, Cade La. The course will be on the school grounds, and will include dirt trails with the possibility of some mud, grass, and gravel road. 

Distance: 2 miles Middle School and Junior Varsity,

                  3 miles Varsity

Place: Episcopal School of Acadiana Upper School Campus – 1557 Smede Rd. at HWY 92, Cade La.

Levels: Middle School Boys, Middle School Girls, Varsity Girls, Varsity Boys, JV Boys/JV Girls

There will be a course description at 8:00 a.m. The awards ceremony will be at 11:30 a.m.

Course: Dirt trails with the possibility of some mud, grass, and gravel road

Race Format: Middle School boys and girls will race 2 miles, Varsity boys 3 miles, Varsity girls 3 miles, JV
boys and girls 2 miles.

Scoring: Your top five in each level except for JV will be scored.

Registration: Milesplit       

Deadline for registration will be Monday, September 28, 2026, at 11:59

p.m.

Awards: The top 2 teams at each level except for JV will receive team awards. Individual awards will be
given to top 15 finishers.

Packet Pickup: Begins at 7:00 am

Coaches’ Meeting: In the Coaches’ Lounge where food and a drinks will be provided. Meeting to discuss
race at 7:30 am.

Parking Information
 
All parking will be at the Cade Community Center and shuttles will run throughout the duration of the event.  Please do not park on Hwy 92. You will be ticketed.

Directions to Cade Community Center from New Iberia:
Take E Main Street out of town toward Lafayette
Continue onto LA-182 N (8 mi)
Take a right on LA-92
Destination on Right (.3 mi)
 
Directions to Cade Community Center from Lafayette:  
Continue onto US-90 E/SW Evangeline Thruway 
Follow US 90 E to New Iberia until you get to Broussard  (roughly 6 miles)
Slight right toward LA-182 S/E Main St  (0.2 mi)
Turn left onto LA-182 S/E Main St 
Continue to follow LA-182 S (4.1 mi)
Turn left onto Louisiana 92-1 
Destination will be on the right
 
Bus Parking
Team buses may enter through the school's back entrance near the baseball field.  Buses may drop off near the brick chapel, and park in the marked student parking.
