Start your Maryville College Game Day with movement, fun, and community on College Hill!

Join us for 5K and Play on College Hill, featuring the 10th Annual 5K Pumpkin Run, followed by yard games as we get ready for the noon kickoff against Southwestern.

Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun way to start your Saturday with your family, all ages and abilities are welcome! Bring your family and friends, enjoy some time outdoors, and stick around for games and campus spirit before kickoff. 

Schedule of Events
7:45 a.m. — Check-In Begins
8:30 a.m. — 5K Race Start
8:30–11:00 a.m. — Tailgate & Yard Games plus Raffle Drawings every 15 minutes!
10:45 a.m. — Scots Walk near Cooper Athletic Center
12:00 p.m. — Football Kickoff vs. Southwestern

After the 5K and Play, stick around College Hill for tailgate and yard games from 8:30–11:00 a.m. Then join the Scots Walk at 10:45 a.m. as we get ready to cheer on the Scots at the noon football kickoff.

THE DETAILS:

• Runners of all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate in this 5k fun run / walk. 
• Restrooms and bib pick up available in Cooper Athletic Center lobby the morning of the race.

• The Pumpkin Run 5k course begins at Crawford House and meanders through the Maryville College Woods, partially on the MC Cross Country course, before finishing at Crawford House/ Mountain Challenge all on Maryville College's beautiful campus

POST-RACE FESTIVITIES:

• Post-race festivities include water and snacks, the opportunity to try climbing Mountain Challenge's Alpine Tower and yard games, music, raffle drawings every 15 minutes, and the Scots Walk ahead of the noon kickoff for the Maryville College vs Southwestern Football Game (free admission!) 


• Prizes will be awarded for Fastest Overall Male, Fastest Overall Female, Fastest Male Kid and Fastest Female Kid at Mountain Challenge’s backyard outdoor fitness area.

REGISTRATION:

• Registration includes water and snacks on site, and the race itself which will be stopwatch timed.
• Registration funds support Friends of the College Woods and on campus community based physical activities.
• Registration is via RunSignUp only. There will not be a cash option on race day.

PACKET PICK-UP:

• Morning of race on site at Cooper Athletic Center.
• Check in and day of race registration start at 7:45 am. 

T-SHIRTS:

• In our effort to create a more sustainable race, we will NOT be offering t-shirts. 
This change allows us to reduce the cost of registration for everyone, as well as create less waste.  

DIRECTIONS:

• From Knoxville, take Pellissippi Parkway or Alcoa Highway toward McGee-Tyson airport. Pass the airport, bear left toward Maryville on Highway 35 (N. Hall Road) for 3 miles, then turn right onto 321 (Lamar Alexander Parkway). Turn left onto S. Court Street, then turn left into the Maryville College campus. Follow Circle Drive as it loops to the left, then you will see Cooper Athletic Center on your right. Plenty of parking is available just behind Cooper in the gravel lots and across Circle Drive in Fayerweather's parking lot. Race begins and ends at Crawford House/ Mountain Challenge (or just point your GPS device to latitude 35.749133, longitude -83.960869).

• Maryville College Woods - Friends of the College Woods

The MC woods is vital for both curricular and co-curricular functions. Trails for running, walking, and biking provide recreation and fitness, and more than 75 amphibian, reptile, bird and mammal species can be commonly seen in the woods. Students can find respite in the 140-acre woods through activities as diverse as disc golf and bird watching. Healthy forests require management, and the college has periodic work days to remove invasive non-native plants, maintain trails, and plant native trees.  

All additional donations made will go directly to Friends of the College Woods.
