23rd Annual Run in the Park is a running race on November 14–29, 2026 in Houston, TX, with entry fees from $30 to $35.

Runners can choose to attend the in-person race, or run from the comfort of your own home virtually! Taking place on November 14, 2026 participants will be able to run – or walk – to support the efforts of the Conservancy. All proceeds from Run in the Park go towards the crucial work needed to maintain Hermann Park, which is an essential outdoor space for our community.
With 5K and 10K routes, as well as a 1K kids’ route, for the in-person events, exercise enthusiasts of all ages and abilities can come explore the Park and enjoy the shaded trails enjoyed by millions of visitors per year. The event starts and ends at the Molly Ann Smith Plaza, near the Jones Reflection Pool, and includes a post-run party with food, drinks, music, and more!
The Conservancy is also offering an at-home, virtual option!
Taking place from Saturday, November 14th through Sunday, November 29, 2026, you can support Hermann Park at your own pace, from the comfort of your own neighborhood! Virtual registrants will still get the exclusive Run in the Park t-shirt and access to an online leaderboard.

DAY OF THE RUN INFORMATION -
Kids' Run
The Kids’ Run starts at 9:00 am near Molly Ann Smith Plaza. Look for the big banner! Our DJ will announce when our young runners should line up, stretch and get ready to race. Due to the overwhelming support of our 1K Kids' Run, we will have two heats. Kids ages 7 - 12 will run in the first heat starting at 9:00 am. Kids age 6 and under will start shortly after.
We strongly suggest that you arrive early – at least 45 minutes prior to the start time of 9:00 am to allow ample time for parking and getting to Molly Ann Smith Plaza. We recommend parking in Parking Lots C, G, F or E and walking along the trails to the main site. Click here for a map of Hermann Park. Please note Parking Lots A, D, T and I, will be closed.
Please note that the 10K and 5K start at 8:00 am and traffic will stopped on Hermann Park Drive frequently.
5K AND 10K
The run starts at 8:00 am near Molly Ann Smith Plaza. Look for a big banner! Our DJ will announce when runners should line up and get ready to go. We ask that runners carrying objects or pushing strollers start in the back of the group for the safety of other participants. 10K runners will start at 8:00 am and 5K runners/ walkers will start at approximately 8:10 AM
Signage and volunteers will be along the route directing participants.
