2026 Veterans & Military Council 5k

Join us for our annual 5K Ruck ‘n Walk/Run to honor veterans during Veterans Appreciation Week. Join Lehigh Valley colleges, universities, businesses and community members as we Ruck OR Run/Walk to recognize and honor all veterans throughout the Lehigh Valley. 

Offering an in-person race with 5K Ruck and Walk/Run options in addition to a 1 mile Fun Run/Walk option*. The course is an off road grass course through the scenic Bicentennial park. 

Can my dog run with me?

As much as we love dogs they are not allowed to run our races. Please keep your pup at home.

Participants who register and make a $30 minimum donation, by November 7, will have the option of an event giveaway at the event.

In Person Race Details:

• Check-in & Race Day Registration: 8 AM-9 AM**

• 5K begins promptly at 9 AM

• 1 mile Fun Run/Walk begins at 9:45 AM 

• Awards Presentation: 10:30 AM

Age Groups: Each race option (Ruck and Walk/Run) will include seven (7) age groups. Ruckers are strongly encouraged to carry a minimum 10% of their body weight. This will be the honor system; we will not be weighing rucksacks this year.

• 12 and Under

• 13-18

• 19-29

• 30-39

• 40-49

• 50-59

• 60+

Awards:

• Awards will be presented to the top 3 male and female finishers in each age group for the 5K Ruck and 5K Run/Walk options. *The Fun Run/Walk is a non-competitive option with no timing or awards.

• The college or university team with the most participants (Ruck, Run/Walk, and Fun Run/Walk combined), earns a plaque to be displayed on their campus and BRAGGING RIGHTS!

• The business/company team with the most participants (Ruck, Run/Walk, and Fun Run/Walk combined), earns a plaque to be displayed at their workplace and BRAGGING RIGHTS!

**Day of registration will be available for a $10 fee.
