2026 Southbury Turkey Trot 5K & Kids Fun Run

WHEN: Thursday, November 26th, 2026. Race begins at 8:30 a.m. sharp. Kid’s Fun Run begins at 8:00 a.m. 

WHERE: Maxx 365 Fitness Studio, 730 Main Street South, Southbury, CT off I-84, Exit 14.

TEAM COMPETITION: Teams must have a minimum of 3 participants but no maximum. You must register a team name during the registration process to be eligible.

5K REGISTRATION: Register early to secure your spot and race shirt as we are expecting the race and shirts to sell out!! Pre-registration is online now for $30.00, plus 50% of the processing fees (the other 50% will be paid by the SWC). Deadline for online registration is Tuesday midnight, November 24th, 2026 at 11:59pm. There will be no race day registration. We will do our best to accommodate T-shirt size but cannot guarantee. T-Shirts are preordered and not available after November 1st. Adult T-shirt sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL. No refunds.

**All unclaimed race shirts will be distributed to other participants if they are not picked up by the start of the race.**

KID’S FUN RUN REGISTRATION: Pre-registration online $10.00, plus 50% of the processing fees (the other 50% will be paid by the SWC).

RACE COURSE: USATF CERTIFIED COURSE:  The course route goes down Main Street South then turns right onto Oak Tree Road and then a left hand turn back on to Main Street South. Flat and fast!

AWARDS: For purposes of maintaining the competitive nature of this event, the following minimum enrollment numbers must be satisfied in order to be eligible for awards;  For overall race winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd places) there must be at least 100 people registered per gender category for awards to be given for that gender.  For age group specific categories, there must be at least 10 people registered per gender category for awards to be given for that gender. All awards will be based on GUN TIME.

The majority of the proceeds from the Southbury Turkey Trot will benefit the Southbury Food bank, Southbury Fuel Bank and Southbury Helping Hands.
