From the Organizer
The September 11th National Memorial Trail Alliance is honored to host its 2nd Annual Tour de Trail: NYC on Saturday, September 5, 2026, in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001. This meaningful ride invites participants to come together in remembrance, honoring the lives lost, the heroes who emerged, and the enduring spirit of unity and resilience that followed.
Please join us on Saturday, September 5, beginning at 9:00 a.m., for a 32-mile ride through New York City and surrounding areas along key portions of the 9/11 National Memorial Trail. Cyclists will experience the beauty of Manhattan’s skyline, travel along the West Side Greenway (part of the 9/11 Trail), ride across the George Washington Bridge, and continue through Jersey City, visiting Ground Zero and significant 9/11 memorial sites along the way. The ride concludes with a ferry return.
New this year, cyclists will begin the day with breakfast at the iconic O’Hara’s Restaurant & Pub, reserved exclusively for participants. The first 25 registrants will receive early access to the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, while additional participants will be admitted following the ride.
This ride is more than just a cycling event; it is a chance to come together in the spirit of remembrance and to honor heroes with every mile. By riding together, we continue the commitment to Never Forget and carry forward the resilience that defines our nation.
All proceeds from the ride will support the Alliance’s efforts to create and maintain the September 11th National Memorial Trail, a 1,500-mile, multi-use trail connecting the three locations impacted by the events of 9/11. The Trail fosters remembrance, reflection, and connection across communities in Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington, DC.
