From the Organizer
We are walking in memory of Tammy Bowlin-Macrae, who was a victim of domestic violence and murdered by her boyfriend on Aug. 25, 2007, in Toledo. This heartbreaking tragedy deeply affected our family and continues to impact countless others in our community.
In hopes of raising awareness about domestic violence in Lucas County, Tammy's family and friends organize this annual walk to honor her life and memory. The 2026 event marks the 16th year for the walk. All proceeds benefit Advocates for Victims and Justice, Inc. (EIN: 34-1773393), a nonprofit that supports victims of violent crime in Lucas County.
Enjoy complimentary donuts from Wixey Bakery and take part in raffle prize drawings available for purchase.
This free event will be held at Walbridge Park in Toledo. T-shirts are available for purchase through RunSignUp during the registration process or on the morning of the walk.
If you would like to join as a sponsor, please contact Lisa at lisa.grady1@yahoo.com or Robin at volunteers44@bex.net.
