From the Organizer
Run For A Reason is a 5K run/walk held in Theresa, WI, dedicated to raising funds for cancer organizations, research institutions, and local hospitals. This event honors the memory of Abby Sauer, a remarkable woman who passed away two years ago from leukemia. Abby was a veteran who bravely served in Afghanistan and later became Dodge County's public health officer, where she played a pivotal role in guiding the community through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Beyond her professional achievements, Abby was a passionate advocate for health, fitness, and community connection Throughout her life, Abby organized and created numerous races to raise funds for causes close to her heart, including the American Legion and Dodge County Public Health. Her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched and inspired. Run For A Reason was created to honor Abby's memory and celebrate her extraordinary contributions to the community. By participating, you’re not only commemorating Abby’s legacy but also supporting the fight against cancer and promoting the values she stood for: health, unity, and hope.
