Join us for the third annual Run Branch County 5k & Half Marathon! Our event will be held on Sunday, September 6th, 2026 in Coldwater, MI. Start time is 8am.
Event pricing:
Opening race fee until 7/31: $30 for 5k, $60 for Half Marathon
8/01 to 8/30: $35 for 5k, $70 for Half Marathon
Race day 8/31: $40 for 5k, $80 for Half Marathon
FREE Kids 50 yard dash - please register your child so we have an idea how many children are participating.
Participants receive a t-shirt with registrations by 8/1. T-shirts are not guaranteed after 8/1. (5k and half marathon participants only)
Medals - Finisher medal provided to all 5k and Half Marathon participants.

Aid Stations/Restrooms: 5K - 1.5 mile mark (water & gatorade only); Half-marathon - 3.6 miles (water/gatorade), 5.0 (water/gatorade/restroom), 6.8 miles (water/gatorade), 9.0 miles (water/gatorade/restroom), 10.6 miles (water/gatorade)
Packet pickup: Saturday, 9/05, 1-4PM, Dr. Robert Browne Recreation Center, 1776 Heritage Dr., Coldwater, MI 49036 Sunday Race day morning starting at 6:00-7:30AM
Proceeds from the event will provide local athletic organizations with the opportunity/ability to support youth participation.
We will have food vendors and the race start/finish is at an outdoor recreational area which offers outdoor basketball courts, sand volleyball courts, pickle ball/tennis courts, disc golf course, children's playground.
The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.

The half marathon is the distance where you find out what you're actually made of. Long enough to demand real preparation. Short enough that it doesn't consume your life to train for it. The half marathon rewards people who show up for the boring training miles.
How long to train: 10–14 weeks. If you're already running consistently, 10 weeks of structured buildup is enough. If you're building from a casual base, give yourself 14.
