From the Organizer
Our mission for this 5k is to provide a day of patriotic remembrance for those most affected by the events of Sept 11th, 2001 and support patients and veterans at the Shepherd Center. For our 15th annual race we will support all that The Shepherd Center does for our community and beyond, since so many personal friends and family have benefitted from the world renowned services of this amazing organization. Your commitment to the race will support The Shepherd Center mission as a whole. The Mission includes the SHARE Military Initiative, which provides our service men and women who have suffered TBI and PTSD during the Afghanistan and Iraqi conflicts a comprehensive rehabilitation program. Proceeds from the race will also support other donor funded programs including housing for patient families, recreational therapy, ASW, and many more. Our ability to do this during a time when Shepherd will soon launch its largest expansion to date will be a wonderful catalyst to show our love, respect and support for an institution that continues to offer hope with no boundaries or limits.
