From the Organizer
Join us for the inaugural Rowen Ramble on September 12th — an opening-day experience unlike any other. More than a race, this is the first public invitation to explore Rowen: a new, 2,000-acre destination where nature, movement and innovation come together.
The Ramble features a certified 5K, Fun Run and community walk set along Rowen’s newly built roads, sidewalks and paths, giving participants a first look at a place designed for connection, discovery and forward motion. Whether you’re chasing a personal best, trying to grab a course record on a fresh Strava segment, or simply enjoying a morning walk with friends and family, the Ramble offers a course — and an atmosphere — built for all.
This is not your typical road race. Expect a setting that blends celebration with competition, with thoughtfully designed routes, a forested backdrop, and gathering spaces that invite you to linger. Before and after the event, join us for a curated post-race experience with coffee, local treats, refreshments, music, and space to connect.
Conveniently located along University Parkway (GA-316), Rowen sits within easy drive of Atlanta, Athens and Gainesville and already features miles of completed infrastructure, with connections to the Gwinnett County Eastern Regional Greenway. The 5K course includes gentle rolling hills and will be certified as a Peachtree Road Race qualifier for 2027 and beyond.
Guided by the mission-driven Rowen Foundation in partnership with Gwinnett County, Rowen is being developed as a one-of-a-kind knowledge community bringing together research, education, business and smart infrastructure to advance innovation in medicine, agriculture and the environment.
The Rowen Ramble marks the beginning of that story — and an open invitation to experience it firsthand.
Come run. Come walk. Come see what’s taking shape.
