From the Organizer
The RoadRokr 5k was originally inspired by the absolutely fantastic PorchRokr Arts & Music Festival that is held annually in Highland Square. If you've never been, you simply must carve out the day to come back and enjoy the magic!
Over the years, this event has evolved into an entity of its own - a morning to celebrate running, music, community, and Miller South! The morning begins with a rockin' National Anthem performance by one of Miller South's very own guitarists. The course winds through the charming streets of Highland Square, beginning and ending in the heart of Highland Square. Along the course, keep an eye out and an ear open for some sweet, sweet music provided by Miller South students. There is a water stop at the halfway point. (and maybe just a couple hills... teehee) As usual, you can expect a super cool t-shirt designed by, of course, a Miller South Alumnus - Nathan Burdette! :) Details on that coming soon.
Stick around after for awards after the race! Then head home, clean up, and come back to enjoy a beautiful day full of remarkable talent and an overwhelming sense of community.
