From the Organizer
The Rick Haggard Memorial Run is an event that will honor the memory of Deputy Rick Haggard who tragically passed away on February 2nd, 2026. Rick Haggard was a devoted Christian, Husband, and Father who selflessly gave his life protecting the students and community he swore to serve. Rick Haggard leaves behind his loving wife, Jana Haggard, and his daughters who were his world. This event is proudly hosted and supported by Lee County Sheriff Jim H. Johnson and his staff. All proceeds from this event will be handled through the CREATE Foundation. Proceeds will be used to assist the family with expenses and travel to the National Fallen Officer Memorial where Rick’s name will be revealed, along with a scholarship in Rick’s memory.
