Join the Prince George's Running Club (PGRC) on SUNDAY August 9th, for a fun, flat, and scenic 5k race through Lake Artemesia in College Park, MD.
This event features two races: The women's race starts at 7:30 am. This event is part of the MD Women's Distance Festival 5k Series. A men's race will follow, starting at 8:30 am.
Participants can park in the lot at Herbert Wells Ice Rink - 5211 Campus Drive, College Park, MD 20740.
The race premium will be guaranteed to the first 100 registrants.
Awards will be given to the top 3 finishers of the race (both male and female), and top finishers in 5 year age groups (both male and female).
This is the 46th year of the Women's Distance Festival being sponsored and supported by the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA). Since 1979 the RRCA has celebrated the history of women's rights to participate in running events at any distance and at any age. The race culminates the state of Maryland's RRCA Women's Distance Festival Series.
