Mindful Strides for Dementia is a running race on September 5, 2026 in Geneseo, IL, with an entry fee of $25.
From the Organizer
The Geneseo Police Department along with the Dementia Task Force is hosting a 5K race at Richmond Hill in Geneseo. Our goal is to raise money for the Dementia Task Force so they can continue to provide community outreach, caregiver support and free radio-frequency Care Trak tracking bracelets. These bracelets allow caregivers and law enforcement the ability to locate someone suffering from dementia if they wander away undetected.
The registration form is fairly simple. We are trying to keep the costs down on this race and direct as much of the funding as we can to the cause. Therefore we won't have age brackets and awards for age brackets. It will not be chip timed. We will give an award to the overall top 3 finishers.
We will have a 5k course for the runners and a 2 mile course for the walkers. The 5k runners will be the only ones eligible for the top 3 finisher awards.
