Grab your speediest shoes and join us for the first annual Matanuska Mile this summer!
Where: Palmer High School Track
When: Thursday, July 23, 2026 - 6:00PM
This race is a full mile--1609 meters--which is a little longer than four laps around the track, and it is hand timed. At 5:45pm, competitors will be split into heats according to pace (slower racing first, faster racing last), with a maximum of four heats. The first heat will start at 6pm with additional heats to follow at approximately 15-minute intervals.
Online registration closes at noon, July 23. In-person registration is available at 5:00PM at the track.
All registration fees go to the Palmer High School Cross Country teams.
