Kids in Capes 5K and Fun Run is a running race on September 27, 2026 in Upper Arlington, OH, with entry fees from $8 to $32.
From the Organizer
Join the Callahan Murphy Hare Foundation (CMHF) for their 5th annual Kids in Capes 5K + Fun Run to benefit pediatric cancer research grants!
Kids in Capes celebrates the indomitable spirit of every child fighting cancer.
They are the heroes and we are their voices.
Research for pediatric cancers has historically been abysmally underfunded leading to most children receiving therapies that are several decades old and not made with children in mind.
While the overarching survival rate for childhood cancer has increased over the last several decades, many types, including our son Callahan's disease, infantile leukemia, have made slow progress, have few treatment options and unfavorable prognoses.
That's why we started CMHF, to share our story and others to help fill the funding gap for pediatric cancers. Despite the odds, Callahan survived treatment and our journey has evolved into years of long-term side effect management -- underscoring our mission.
We'd love to have you and share more about how efforts like Kids in Capes are raising broader awareness, education and real impact to research.
Join us this September in our advocacy to raise critical funding for newer, kinder, more effective treatments for kids with cancer.
Love, The Hares (CMHF co-founders & Kids in Capes Race Directors)
