From the Organizer
The scholarship was established by Renee (Kenneth's mom) and Benny Dennis in honor of their commitment to supporting young people pursuing skilled trades.
Proceeds from this 5k event will go directly toward funding the scholarship.
This scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior who plans to pursue a career in skilled trades, such as electrical work, welding, HVAC, plumbing, automotive technology, and many more.
Kenneth was passionate about hands-on work and was actively pursuing his own path in the trades-- he was interning with the Town of Wadesboro and also working at Papa Joe's.
The scholarship honors his work ethic, spirit, and the future he was building. Your support will help us carry on his legacy by giving another young person the opportunity to follow a similar path.
