Jog for Joan 5K is a running race on September 13, 2026 in Greensboro, NC.
From the Organizer
Lace up your running shoes and join us on September 13th for a meaningful 5K as we come together to support our dear friend, Joan Burton.
Joan was recently diagnosed with glioblastoma and has undergone surgery to remove portions of the tumor. While the surgery was successful and she is making incredible progress in her recovery, she still has a long journey ahead and needs the love, encouragement, and support of our amazing community.
Every step you take and every dollar raised will help ease the financial burden of medical expenses and allow Joan to focus on what matters most—healing.
Whether you run, walk, or cheer from the sidelines, your participation will make a difference. Together, we can show Joan she's not facing this journey alone.
We will have a tie-dying station at the race, please bring your own cotton shirt to dye!!
This event is Rain or Shine - we will start meeting around 11 am and the run/walk will begin around 11:30 am and the festivities will be over by 3pm.
