From the Organizer
Welcome to the 28th Annual Jared Coones Memorial Pumpkin Run/Walk Event.
Jared was ten years old when he passed away on October 5, 1998, after a long and courageous battle with leukemia. His mother, Jayne, passed away on December 17, 2006, after a difficult fight with inflammatory breast cancer. In December 2025, we also lost Judy Porting, Jared’s aunt, to leukemia. We miss them all deeply.
This event is dedicated to honoring the memory of Jared, Jayne, and Judy, and all they stood for—love, faith, strength, and courage. We come together each year to celebrate their lives and the time we were blessed to have them on this earth. We hope you will join us in remembering and honoring them.
