Ionia Community Awareness Glow Run is a running race on September 19, 2026 in Ionia, MI.
From the Organizer
Glow Run 2026 5k run/walk will take place on Saturday, September 19 at 9pm (immediately following the Ionia Community Awareness Cruise in downtown Ionia). The fun run/walk will begin at the corner of Steele and Adams Streets and wind through downtown, showcasing many of Ionia's neighborhoods and local businesses.
Participants are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the event by wearing neon clothing and as much glow gear and illuminated apparel as possible. The brighter, the better! Whether it's glow sticks, LED accessories, glowing face paint, or vibrant neon attire, help light up the night as you make your way along the course.
Community members are encouraged to join in the excitement by lining the route, cheering on participants, creating encouraging signs, and leaving their porch lights on to help light the way. The event will conclude behind the historic Ionia Theatre, where concessions will be available for participants, families, and spectators to enjoy.
Whether you're running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, Glow Run 2026 is a fun opportunity to celebrate community, promote awareness, and bring people together for an unforgettable evening in downtown Ionia.
All proceeds from this 5k will go to support Ionia Community Awareness/Purple Week.
