From the Organizer
You’ve braved the cold with us — now it’s time to face the heat.
Join us for the inaugural Hot for a Cause 5K, a summer run/walk benefiting Yakima Union Gospel Mission and the men, women, and children in our community who endure dangerous summer temperatures without shelter, safety, or support.
Hosted at the same venue as our beloved Cold for a Cause, this event brings awareness to a different side of homelessness in the Yakima Valley: surviving the intense heat of summer. While many of us seek air conditioning and relief, thousands of vulnerable individuals face long days and sleepless nights exposed to the elements.
Every registration helps provide shelter, meals, outreach, recovery services, and hope to neighbors experiencing homelessness and hardship.
Whether you run, walk, or cheer others on, you’re making a difference for those who face the heat every day.
