Location - Rock Cut State Park
Choose to do a single events or pick the challenging Triple Crown all three races 85k or the Triple Crown "Lite" 60k with the 10k on Friday evening then a 25k Sat. & Sun. Friday Nite's 10k is an evening trail race. Bring running lights, headlamps, flashlights, etc. Trail will be marked with signage, glow sticks. and reflective markers. This is a trail race in the dark the park closes at 10:00 pm all runners must be finished by 9:30 in order to leave park before closing. Note we did say that the 10k is a trail race run in the dark on trails be sure you have practiced running on trails in the dark so you know what you are setting out to do.
10k will start near the boat launch in Rock Cut State Park, Friday Sept. 11, - 7:00pm start - Runners must be finished by 9:30 in order to be out of the park by 10:00 - gates are locked.
25k will start and finish at Red Oak picnic area, Saturday Sept. 12, - 8:00am start - Course is supported for 5 hours on Saturday. Doing your first 25k? The course on Sunday is supported for 8 hours .
50k & 25k will start and finish at the Red Oak picnic area, Sunday Sept. 13, - 8:00am start - Course is supported for 8 hours.
Triple Crown Award for those who run all three races "85k" each will receive a Hobo Railroad Spike Award. Triple Crown finishers will also receive special additional swag.
Triple Crown "Lite" Award for those who run all three races "60k" - will receive a Hobo Railroad Spike Award. Triple Crown "Lite" finishers will receive a special additional swag.

The 10K is the distance where running stops feeling like a starting point and starts feeling like a sport. Long enough to require a real training block. Short enough that race day is fully manageable for a first-timer who's put in the work.
Race day energy at a 10K is community at its best — strangers cheering you by name, people moving toward the same goal, an atmosphere that solo training can't replicate. It's fast enough that you'll spend the whole race pushing rather than managing your effort.
This is also the distance that builds the base for everything else. Most athletes who go on to run half marathons, do triathlons, or compete in HYROX started here. What you need: running shoes fitted to your stride, a training plan, and the race on your calendar. The registration is what makes the deadline real.
