From the Organizer
The Hawkins Hustle is a 5k run/walk and kids fun run (ages 10 & under) in memory of Coach Vern Hawkins. The proceeds of this event go to the Coach Hawkins Scholarship Fund, which awards monetary scholarships to graduating seniors from Georgetown High School who competed in cross country and/or track & field. Scholarship recipients are selected by a committee comprised of Coach's former athletes.

Date & Time: Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 8:00 AM
Location: Brown County Fairgrounds
Address: 325 West State Street, Georgetown, Ohio 45121
Check-in and day-of registration will begin at 7:00 AM.
Kids Fun Run for ages 10 and under following the 5k (approximately 9:00am). Fun Run distance is one lap around the main show ring. T-shirts NOT included in the Fun Run registration.
Race categories: male, female, run, walk
Age groups: 10 and under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
T-shirts are in limited supply on race day and may not be available to those who fail to pre-register by 8/1/2026.

Yes, we welcome business and individual sponsors! Commit to a minimum $100 sponsorship by 7/15/2026 and be included on the 2026 race shirts.
