You bring your buds, we'll bring the suds! The Go Cross Beer Mile returns to Virginia's Blue Ridge Go Cross presented by Fat Tire at Fallon Park on Saturday September 26, at 5:00pm (race starts at 5:30pm).
Happening just after the elite cyclocross podiums, this beer mile is a team relay race with 4 parts beer, 4 parts running, and NEW in 2026 4 parts hobby cross (use your imagination ;) ). It is designed to raise the vibe and get everyone out in costume to cheer (& heckle) for the pros racing at 2:55 and 4:05 that day. Prizes will be provided by RunAbout Sports to the top team and for the team with the best costumes. This year's the costume theme is "GRATEFUL DEAD!"
WHAT TO EXPECT:
The cost of the race is only $36 PER TEAM if you register by 9/14/26 at midnight and $40 PER TEAM after. Onsite registration will be available at the ID Check and Beer Tent until 4:30pm on race day. A minimum of two racers are required per team, and a maximum of four.
The race briefing will take place at 5:15pm at the RunAbout tent and it is mandatory for all runners.
This race will be held in the in-field of the course. The race will consist of 4 laps of ~1/4 mile each consisting of part running and part pixie biking. The beers will be 16 oz. pints of Fat Tire (NA beers and Root Beer available on prior request - email kait@roanokeoutside.com by 5pm on 9/12).
BEER RELAY GUIDELINES:
EACH TEAM HAS TO HAVE AT LEAST TWO MEMBERS TO PARTICIPATE ON RACE DAY. Captains of each team will be able to add and remove members until registration ends.
