From the Organizer
Join us on Saturday August 15th, 2026 at Thompson Park in Upper Arlington to celebrate Carter Edell in the inaugural Forward for Hope 5K. Plan to participate in the 5K, walking or running, or in the quarter mile kids dash! If unable to make it to the event, consider joining us in a virtual 5K.
Forward for Hope was inspired by Charlie Murphy “to do something fun, because Carter was always fun!” Our hope is that this race unites friends, family and our community who shared in our suffering, to honor Carter and celebrate his light and the lives he touched. This event is to remember those we have lost to suicide and to spread awareness and come together in hope. All proceeds will go directly to The Carter Edell Foundation which will serve as a fund that gives back to the community and Upper Arlington students in various ways in honor of Carter.
