From the Organizer
The Athens State University Alumni Association is hosting the annual Fiddlers 5k Race, Kids Fun Run, and Family Fun Day event. Proceeds from this event will provide scholarships benefit for new and current students and the Nazaretian Scholarship in honor of Dr. Angeline Nazaretian. This fun day will feature a kids' fun zone with inflatables, face painting, and hot dogs. A paid race entry is required to access the fun zone.
Our USATF certified race route will begin and end at Athens State University and will showcase the historical district in Athens. Our Kids fun run will start and end on Athens State Campus and will be highlighted by an appearance from Hebrew the Bear. Our goal is to have 250 runners, showcase the history and beauty of Athens, and provide our community with a family friendly event that everyone can participate in.
IMPORTANT: The start and finish line for the race course will be reversed from previous years. The race will begin in front of Sandridge Hall and end at the 6th lamp post on Beaty Street. The map attached has been updated.
