ECDC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. As a multicultural, multi-service organization with local, national, and international reach, we help refugees and immigrants rebuild their lives, achieve self-sufficiency, and thrive as active members of their communities. Join us for our annual 5K Run for Refugees, a community event supporting our mission to provide hope, assistance, and opportunity for refugees and other displaced people.
Entry Fee: $40 Early Bird through July 31, $50 Regular August 1 - September 13, $75 Late Registration September 14 - 23.
8:00AM - Race Day Packet Pickup
9:00AM - 5K Run
9:45AM - Kids' Kilometer (Free)
Directions: From Route 50, turn north to the end of Manchester Street. Turn right onto free parking. If parking is full, park at Bluemont Park North Shelter or Ashlawn School
Course: Paved park trails, one hill, no road crossings. OK for walkers and wheelchairs
Post-race Social: In the picnic shelter about 100 meters from the start / finish next to the restrooms. Join fellow runners and community members for refreshments and entertainment.
