True Nature is hosting the first Connection 5K on September 20th at 8:00am to raise awareness and support for Connection is the Medicine Foundation.
The run will start and finish at the True Nature Peace Garden, with a simple out-and-back route on the Rio Grande Trail. We’re imagining it as a welcoming morning of movement, health, and togetherness — a chance for runners, walkers, families, and community members to gather on campus, enjoy the Peace Garden, and experience True Nature as a place of connection.
This is not an elite race. It is family-friendly, walk-or-run, and open to all fitness levels. Our hope is that it becomes a joyful annual Carbondale tradition rooted in movement, community, and well-being.
