General Ride Information:
The El Paso Bicycle Club (EPBC) is bringing you the Chile Pepper Challenge Charity Ride and 5k Walk/Run to the Texas - New Mexico region. This year’s ride will feature the Upper and Mesilla Valleys with 4 different ride routes for cyclists of all skill levels and ambition. All rides are fully supported with rest stops, route markings and SAG vehicles.
This year the proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer's Association. Alzheimer’s affects millions of families across the country, touching parents, grandparents, spouses, friends, and neighbors. The Chile Pepper Challenge creates an opportunity for our community to unite around hope, awareness, and action. Donations directly help fund critical programs including caregiver support, educational resources, a 24/7 helpline, and groundbreaking research efforts aimed at finding better treatments and ultimately a cure
Cycling Distance & Start Time:
62 mile Habanero Ride – start time 7:00 a.m.
40 mile Chile Rojo Ride – start time 7:30 a.m.
25 mile Chile Verde Ride – start time 8:00 a.m.
5 mile Family Fun Bell Pepper Ride – start time 8:30 a.m.
5K walk / run - start time 9:00 am
Back for the 2nd year:
5k walk/run to promote healthy living for our families within our community. Families are encouraged to participate in the 5k while they wait for their cycling enthusiast to cross the finish line.
Age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79.
Rest Stops:
(approximately every 15 miles-porta potties available)
