The Brothers of Mercy Oktoberfest & Race to Remember is a running race on September 11, 2026 in Clarence, NY, with an entry fee of $30.
From the Organizer
Oktoberfest & Race to Remember is a commemorative community event honoring the 25th anniversary of September 11th. Together, runners, walkers, families, friends, and neighbors will gather for an evening of remembrance, unity, and connection as we honor the lives impacted by 9/11 and reflect on the strength and resilience that continue to bring communities together.
The evening begins with the Oktoberfest party at 5:30 PM, followed by the 5K Run/Walk at 6:30 PM. Participants will take on a certified 5K course through secure suburban streets and the scenic Tillman Wildlife Management Area before returning to campus for food, drinks, music, raffles, and post-race festivities.
A special Ceremony of Remembrance will be held as part of the evening, offering a meaningful tribute to those whose lives were lost, the heroes and first responders who served, and all who continue to carry the memory of September 11th forward. This moment of reflection is at the heart of the event and serves as a reminder of the unity, courage, and compassion that emerged in the wake of tragedy.
Following the ceremony and race, guests are invited to enjoy live music and dancing with The Polka Boyz, authentic German food including bratwurst, German potato salad, Bavarian pretzels, and more, plus international beer including premium beer donated by Hofbräuhaus. Basket raffles featuring great prizes and local favorites will also be available throughout the evening.
