From the Organizer
Welcome to the inaugural Barnyard Squatch 5K, hosted by Sassquad Trail Running! This isn’t your average, flat road 5K. We are taking you on a scenic tour of The Barnyard Sanctuary’s nearly 200-acre property in Blairstown, NJ. Whether you are a seasoned trail runner looking for a unique challenge or a hiker wanting to spend a beautiful fall morning supporting an incredible cause, this trail party is calling your name! As with all of our events: all paces, all ages, and all peoples are welcome.
100% For The Animals: The Barnyard Sanctuary provides a safe haven for rescued farm animals, giving them a second chance at life. 100% of all donations raised through this event will go directly to The Barnyard Sanctuary to further their mission of rescuing and caring for farm animals.

From Endurance Grid
This race spans more than one sport — here’s a guide to each, so you can understand what’s involved and decide if it’s the right fit. For course distances, logistics, and race-day specifics, always defer to the race organizer’s event page.
From 5K to marathon, running races are the most accessible entry point into endurance sport. There's a distance for every fitness level and a community at every start line.
Running off-road — dirt, singletrack, and mountain paths — from 5Ks to ultras. The terrain, not the pace, is the whole point.
