Join us for the Amazing Grace Race on Saturday, September 26th as runners and walkers of all ages come together to benefit the children and teens served by Sidewalk Hope. The 5K begins at 9:00 a.m. with race day registration opening at 8:00 a.m. Whether you're chasing a personal record or simply enjoying a morning with family and friends, every step helps to make a positive impact and offer hope to local children!  Every dollar raised stays right here in our community, serving local children and teens through Sidewalk Hope.

5K RACE INFORMATION

• USATF-certified course, ensuring every participant covers an accurately measured 3.1-mile route
• Professional chip timing provided by Upstate Race Series - accurate results posted live on registration page as you cross finish line!
• Race begins and ends at Drayton Mills
• Amazing Grace Race T-shirts guaranteed for all participants registered by September 11th 
• Medals awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in the Men's, Women's, and Youth (17 & under) divisions

FAMILY FRIENDLY ~ CHILDREN WELCOME!

• Children ages 10 and under can enjoy our FREE Fun Zone on the Drayton Mills green space, featuring age-appropriate games, activities, and snacks while families enjoy the race together. 

WHAT IS SIDEWALK HOPE?  

Sidewalk Hope is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to positively impact the lives of children in the heart of our city and the communities in which they live through the hope of Jesus Christ. www.sidewalkhope.org 

We build lasting relationships, share the Gospel, and demonstrate Christ's love in practical ways. We are able to bring hope to children who might never have the opportunity to know the love of Jesus in a traditional church setting. 

WHAT DOES SIDEWALK HOPE DO?

Each week, Sidewalk Hope serves more than 300 children and teens by going directly into the neighborhoods where they live. Our big yellow truck visits four apartment communities in underserved areas of Spartanburg and one in Greenville, bringing year-round ministry right into the heart of their communities. By faithfully showing up week after week, we build trust, invest in lives, share the Gospel, and create opportunities for children to experience the hope and love of Jesus Christ in a safe and caring environment.

That care extends beyond our weekly programs. Throughout the year, Sidewalk Hope provides backpacks filled with school supplies, Christmas Blessing Bags, Camp Grace scholarships for teens, additional summer food, Bibles and devotional resources, blankets, coats, toiletries, and other practical support as needs arise. This year, 774 children received new backpacks and school supplies, while 25 local teens were given the opportunity to spend a week at Camp Grace. Each Christmas, approximately 750 children also receive Christmas Blessing Bags filled especially for them.

As Sidewalk Hope celebrates 11 years of ministry in Spartanburg and expands into Greenville, our mission remains the same: to meet children where they are, invest in their lives, share the Gospel, and demonstrate Christ’s love through practical care and consistent presence.

By taking church beyond the traditional four walls, we bring the hope of Jesus to children right where they live.

HOW WILL THIS RACE HELP? 

Every registration and donation helps provide year-round ministry to local children and teens through Sidewalk Hope. Race proceeds support weekly neighborhood outreach, additional food sources, Bible resources, leadership programs, Camp Grace scholarships, school supplies, Christmas Blessing Bags, and other essential needs throughout the year.
