Lace up and make your miles matter at the ABQ Museum Dash—a fun run supporting the Albuquerque Museum Foundation! Join us on Sunday, August 16th, for a 5K, 1K, or Kids K race through the heart of Albuquerque in support of a cause that keeps art, history, and culture alive in our community.
Every step you take fuels the Foundation's mission to champion and sustain the Albuquerque Museum. This race supports the Albuquerque Museum’s dynamic exhibitions, inspiring educational programs, and meaningful community engagement that connects people of all ages.

NW side of Tiguex Park near registration tent.

🚗 PARKING & ARRIVAL
Parking is available at:
Albuquerque Museum Parking Lot🚫 DO NOT PARK on the race course:
19th Street, Mountain Road, Old Town Road, both sides of 18th Street, or adjacent to Tiguex Park.
⏰ Plan to arrive at least 45–60 minutes early to allow time for parking, restrooms, warm-up, and lining up.
🏁 START PROCEDURES
The 5K, 1-Mile Walk, and Kids K all begin in front of the Albuquerque Museum.
This event uses a Gun Start with Chip Finish Timing.
Official time begins when the horn sounds.
Participants must start at the official start time to receive results.
Seeding Guidelines:
Front: Competitive runners
Middle: Recreational runners
Back: Walkers & Strollers
🎯 BIB & TIMING REQUIREMENTS
Timing chip is attached to the back of your bib.
Bib must be worn on the FRONT and visible at all times.
Do not fold, alter, or transfer your bib.
Wearing two timing devices = automatic disqualification.
Missing split times may result in disqualification.
Results posted at: www.irunfit.org
Appeals must be submitted within 3 days of race day.
🚨 EVENT DAY CONDUCT POLICY
All participants must demonstrate respectful and sportsmanlike behavior.
Prohibited actions include:
Public urination/defecation
Alcohol use
Obstructing the course
Unsportsmanlike conduct
Course cutting
Unauthorized assistance
Participating without an official bib
Race officials reserve the right to disqualify participants for violations.
👶 STROLLERS & WHEELED DEVICES
Strollers ARE permitted under the following conditions:
Child must be registered (Rider Bib – no charge)
Seed at back of race
Child must remain secured at all times
Must not impede other runners
Not allowed:
Skateboards
Rollerblades
Unauthorized bicycles
Motorized devices
Dogs
🏥 MEDICAL SUPPORT
Medical staff positioned at start/finish and along the course.
If you feel unwell, STOP and notify a race official immediately.
Participants may be removed from the course if deemed medically necessary.
Hydrate before, during, and after the race.
If you do not finish, notify a race official with your bib number.
💧 COURSE SUPPORT
Fluid replacement stations on course.
Water and Powerade are provided.
