*The Race Preferred T-Shirt Deadline is July 12th - we may or may not have your preferred size if you register after this day*
Senior & Disability Services, a division of Lane Council of Governments, is hosting their 6th annual A Race for the Rest of Us! This is a "race for a good cause" - to raise money for the Senior Meals Program at Senior & Disability Services, which provides food to Lane County seniors who might otherwise go hungry. The distance is a whopping 0.5k - nope, that is not a typo! That is a half kilometer or about one third of a mile, or about 546 yards, or about 1640 feet, or about twice as far as the average good golfer can hit a golf ball off of a tee - you get the idea.
Unable to join the race in person? No problem! You can participate in the 0.5k from wherever you are in the world!
Every participant gets a T-shirt, a finisher’s medal, and a race sticker to show off your race completion and your support for Senior Meals! Have you seen those oval stickers on the back of someone’s car with the numbers on them? Yep, like that, only much cooler!
Come walk/run/roll with us or do it on your own time. Whatever works best for you. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Senior & Disability Services Senior Meals Program in Lane County.
Since this race benefits seniors 60+ in Lane County, seniors that sign up to "race" with us will get a $5 dollar discount!
Ages 12 and under: $20
Ages 13-59: $30
Ages 60+: $5 discount so only $25
Packets can be picked up on Friday, July 31st from 1-5pm at 859 Willamette St., Eugene, OR 5th floor. Packets can also be picked up day of race (August 2nd) starting at 12pm.
Shirts and bibs are printed specifically for each participant. Once a registration is complete (paid for), it cannot be changed. If you chose the in-person option, packet pick-up will be the day of the race or on Friday, July 31st at Lane Council of Governments, 859 Willamette St., Ste 500, Eugene, OR from 1-5pm.
