
5K for Aidan J. Heart-Safe Communities is a running race on September 12 – October 3, 2026 in Downingtown, PA, with entry fees from $25 to $35.

JOIN US for the 13th annual 5K for Aidan J. Run/Walk for Heart-Safe Communities!
This fast, flat and shady course is perfect for first-timers and runners who are reaching for a PR! We also have a 1-mile walk, kids races, and virtual 5K and walk options. Medals awarded for the teams (the fastest and the most fundraising-est), place winners from each age category, and every child who crosses the finish line in the Kids Races. Top male and female runners overall win $50 cash.
The 5K race is chip-timed, and all runners and 1 mile walkers will receive bibs. Bryn Mawr Race Management will be providing chip-timing services for runners. Runner results will be posted immediately on a flat-screen and online.
Special Pricing for Students and Seniors! Registration for the 5K is only $25 for runners between ages 5-22 and 65-103, and $15 for the 1 Mile Walk for Students and Seniors.The discount price will be reflected at checkout.
Registration is open until Friday, September 12th. Race day registration prices increase $5 per participant for the 5K and 1 Mile Walk. Race Day Registration Fees can be paid via Apple Pay, credit card, cash, or check (made out to Aidan's Heart Foundation).
Please note: Park in the municipal parking lots at Planet Fitness and Kerr Park and walk to the trailhead, also known as Kardon Park or The Ponds, near the Victims Memorial. The address is: 215-369 E Pennsylvania Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335

Please, no dogs for this event. Strollers are permitted for 1 Mile Family Walk but not for the 5K Run due to limited space on the trail.
