From the Organizer
The 2nd Annual Rock the Climb - 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb returns to the iconic Hard Rock Guitar Hotel in Hollywood, Florida, on September 11, 2026. This powerful event serves as a solemn tribute to the heroes lost on September 11, 2001, inviting participants to ascend the hotel’s stairs in a display of remembrance and solidarity. Hosted by the Firefighters Benevolent of Davie in partnership with the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, the climb honors the ultimate sacrifice of first responders while raising critical funds for the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund and the Firefighters Benevolent of Davie.
The event is designed to be inclusive, welcoming a diverse group of participants including firefighters in full turnout gear, firefighters climbing in athletic wear, and members of the general public. You have the option of 110 story climb, 72 story climb, or 36 story climb. Whether tackling the challenge as a personal feat of endurance or as a team, every climber contributes to a collective effort to "never forget." By physically retracing the heroic steps taken by those who rushed into danger decades ago, participants create a moving, shared experience that bridges the gap between first responders and the community they serve.
Every climber is recognized for their dedication and commitment to this cause. Upon registration and completion of the event, all participants will receive a comprehensive race package, including a personalized race bib with an RFID timing chip for accurate tracking and an event-exclusive dri-fit shirt. To celebrate their achievement and the conclusion of the climb, finishers will be awarded a commemorative medal and a swag bag. Furthermore, participants can look forward to refreshments and a sense of shared camaraderie at the event’s conclusion, providing a space to reflect and recover after their meaningful ascent.
PLEASE NOTE: Full Gear is Helmet, Bunker Jacket, and Pants
