2026 Market Street Run for Blue

The annual 5-mile Market Street Run for Blue will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2026. You can run 5 Miles OR walk 3 Miles. There will be no virtual option, but you can purchase a shirt to be mailed to you.   This is your chance to show your support of the dedicated officers of the Philadelphia Police Department. Please show your support for those who protect and serve our city!

The Race Course and our Brief History: You may have conquered Broad Street, now you can conquer Market Street too! This is your chance to show your support of the dedicated officers of the Philadelphia Police Department. You choose to Run 5 Miles OR Walk 3 Miles!
For decades, you had the opportunity to Run Broad Street. In 2019, for the first time, we brought you the chance to run or walk Market Street, from the Delaware River to the Schuylkill River, in support of the men and women of the Philadelphia Police Department. Starting in historic Old City just a stone’s throw from the Delaware River and running 2.5 miles along Market Street to the shadow of 30th Street Station above the mighty Schuylkill River; looping back to the finish line. Walkers turn around at City Hall and loop back to the finish line. 

Purpose of the Event:
1) The Market Street Run for Blue is a fund-raiser for the Philadelphia Police Foundation and a competitive or fun 5 mile run or 3 mile walk experience for all participants. To learn about the important work of the Foundation, visit here: www.phillypolicefoundation.org

2)  It's a chance to strengthen community ties and enjoy some positive interactions with the Philadelphia Police Department. It's a fun day to be in Philly! 

Location:        
**Updates this year due to Construction** The race starts and finishes at Front and Dock Streets next to the Philadelphia Marriott Old City. It will end with an Award Ceremony at Front and Dock Street.

Note: Race Course finish has changed, see the map here for updates. Jogging Strollers are welcome! 

Bib/Shirt Pick Up:  will take place inside the Old City Marriott (Front and Dock Streets) on the following days/times:

Friday, Oct.16 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Sunday morning Oct. 18 (race day) from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. 

Award Ceremony:  Monetary awards will be given to the top 3 overall male and female runners. Medals will be given to the top 3 Male/Female runners in the age brackets below.  Celebrate after the race with Mounted Unit horses, K9s, and Wawa, featuring coffee and pastries. Enjoy live music from 93.3 WMMR radio. It will be a fun event for everyone!

Awards for Age Groups (Top 3 Male/Female Runners recognized in each age bracket) – 5-13, 14-17; 18-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+ 

Amenities:          
All paid participants will receive a Market Street Run for Blue performance long-sleeve dri-fit race shirt (While Supplies Last). Finisher Medals are not guaranteed after September 15th, so register early to ensure you get a medal at the finish line.
