From the Organizer
Chi-Care has been feeding Chicagoland's unhoused population since 2020. We've expanded from passing out a few meals to those in need, to now serving over 2,000 hot meals every single week.
Chi-Care offers a mobile service for the unhoused aimed at providing warm meals to those who face homelessness and/or food insecurity. Our mobile routes operate in key areas where homeless populations are known to gather, such as parks, shelters, and underpasses, bringing necessities directly to those who may have limited access to resources. In addition to warm meals, Chi-Care provides water, hygiene kits, snacks, socks, underwear, jackets, blankets, propane and heaters. Chi-Care participates in weekly Wellness Fairs across the Chicagoland Area. The goal of these wellness fairs is to provide those in need wraparound services that include a warm meal, harm reduction supplies, healthcare, and assistance with housing.
