09/05/26: Lakad for Rights is a running race on September 5, 2026 in Portland, OR, with an entry fee of $35.
From the Organizer
LAKAD MEANS WALK AND KARAPATAN MEANS RIGHTS IN TAGALOG/FILIPINO.
On September 5, 2026 we are hosting Lakad for Karapatan to raise $50,000 towards initiatives in the Philippines that would provide relief and rehabilitation to communities impacted by typhoons, volcano eruptions, and other natural calamities in the Philippines via the Foundation for Philippine Progress, support the Filipino Bayanihan Center’s Health Programs, and support a new Migrant Worker’s Training Center in Portland, OR. These programs are vital to address the needs of our communities whose basic rights are not upheld. LAKAD helps us address the root problems of the lack of health, land, and community infrastructure, all of which our kababayan from the Philippines to Oregon have the right to. Support us as we tackle the immediate needs of the Filipino people.
