From the Organizer
The annual South Boston St. Patrick’s Day / Evacuation Day Parade is a celebration of Irish heritage in recognition of the St. Patrick’s Day holiday, as well as to recognize Evacuation Day and the service of the men and women of the United States Armed Services. Since 1901, the parade has only been possible through the generous contributions of friends, family, and the community. Without the participation of organizations like yours, none of this is possible.
As a small, self-supporting non-profit organization, the South Boston Allied War Veterans Council relies heavily on your help. Comprised entirely of volunteers from each of the veterans’ posts in South Boston, the South Boston Allied War Veterans Council is committed to putting on the best possible parade for the community.
