Description
The 2026 41st Annual Mid-Summer swim a non-escorted one-mile open ocean swim, powered by and coordinated by the Lavallette Beach Patrol. The event benefits the Lavallette Beach Patrol and the NJ Swim Safety Alliance.
Bring along and donate, a new children's size swimsuit and you will be entered into a special prize raffle!
The Lavallette Beach Patrol is committed to making this your best open ocean swim of the season! Our race site venue is set along the beautiful beaches of Lavallette! This is a point-to-point swim and in order to make your swim experience even more awesome, we will be swimming either South to North, or North to South, dependent on ocean conditions. This is an awesome race for all open ocean swimmers from beginners, to the most accomplished! You don't want to miss this event! Register today!
We are offering two different divisions to appeal to everyone’s favorite swim event, open or wetsuit! Come race one!
Expect water temperatures to range from 61 degrees to 70 degrees.

Course Overview
Swim (1 Mile Open Ocean Swim)
This is a point-to-point swim. Course direction will be determined by the Lavallette Beach Patrol prior to the race start, based upon ocean conditions. (either South to North, or North to South) Expected water temperatures ranging from 61 degrees to 70 degrees.
THIS IS AN OPEN WATER SWIM! BE SURE YOU HAVE PUT YOUR TIME IN PRACTICING IN OPEN WATER! BE PREPARED!

ALL athletes are required to show photo ID. NO ID, NO RACE, NO EXCEPTIONS!
Youth (17 and under) athletes without an ID must be accompanied by a parent/guardian with a photo ID.
Verbal or physical abuse of others is not acceptable or tolerated. Participants shall refrain from unsportsmanlike conduct at all times while at the event and during competition, including the use of abusive language; violent acts; intentional misconduct; or any intimidating behavior directed toward, including but not limited to participants, officials, event staff, volunteers and spectators.
