Amazement Square invites your family to participate in the most magical and memorable kids' race in the city! The 25th Annual "Amazing Mile Children's Run: Once Upon a Run" is more than a race; it’s an adventure made just for kids. Expect big energy and enthusiastic fans for a race experience that leaves kids proud and parents smiling. Join us before and after the run for our family festival featuring discovery stations, face painting, and food trucks.
Date: September 25, 2026
Location: Amazement Square (27 9th Street, Lynchburg, VA 24504)
Distance: 1/4, 1/2, and 1 Mile Races
T-Shirt: Event t-shirt guaranteed before September 11 registration. A limited number of additional shirts will be available on a first-come basis at packet pickup.
Awards: Medals will be awarded to all registered participants upon completion of the race. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female finishers in the 1 Mile race only will be awarded a cash prize.
Festival Start Time: 5:00 p.m.
Race Start Time: 6:00 p.m.
Early Packet Pickup: Thursday, September 24, 2026 l 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Amazement Square
Day of Packet Pickup: 3:00 - 5:30 p.m. at Amazement Square
