What is it?
Tidy Up Tomball is a bi-annual trash clean-up event designed to bring the community together to beautify the City of Tomball.
When is it?
Tidy up Tomball is a bi-annual event. The next event is scheduled for October 24, 2026.
Where is it?
401 Houston St. Tomball, TX 77375
How does it work?
Tidy Up Tomball is open to businesses, schools, organizations, families, and friends—everyone is welcome!
Teams will be assigned a clean-up area and meet at 8:00 AM on event day to sign in, get their route number, and pick up supplies. After cleaning their area, teams will place filled trash bags in the designated drop-off spot, then return to check-in to return supplies and complete the event.
How do I sign-up an individual or a team?
Watch our how-to video here. When you register yourself, you'll have the option to add additional participants to your registration. As long as you have the information of each person that you want on your team, you can register each participant. When it gets to the step for choosing a team, create a team name for your group or join an existing one if one has already been made. The other option is to complete your individual sign up, then send the sign-up link to your group and instruct them on what team name to search for to sign-up under when they get to that step.
IMPORTANT: Routes are planned ahead of time using registered team sizes. While teams may bring additional volunteers on event day, registering everyone by the sign-up deadline (October 13, 2026 for the Fall 2026 event) helps us plan better routes, avoid overcrowding, and speed up check-in. Please encourage all of your team members to sign-up by October 13, 2026.

What will Tidy Up Tomball be providing?
At kick-off your team will be provided with:
What should I bring with me?
Get your wardrobe ready! We recommend wearing full length pants, tennis shoes or rubber boots, a hat and of course sunscreen. If rain is in the forecast, you may wish to bring a rain jacket or umbrella.
Be prepared to work on routes that may have ditches, slopes, tall grass, or are near the road.
Some families opt to bring a wagon to roll along the route to help carry supplies or tired kiddos.
Camel backs are recommended to keep hydrated as you walk your route.
We will have trash picker uppers and gloves for everyone at kick-off but if you prefer to bring your own, please do.
What if it rains?
A little rain won’t stop us! 🌧️ We’ll continue as planned in a passing rain shower or drizzle, so be sure to bring a rain jacket or umbrella if the forecast calls for it. However, in the event of severe weather, the cleanup may be canceled or rescheduled for everyone’s safety. If that happens, we’ll notify all participants as soon as possible. Keep an eye on your email and event updates on social media!
Will an adult be with my child on their route?
Participants must register in teams, with each team including at least one adult (18+). This allows for flexible planning. We recommend joining your child for the event or arranging for a trusted adult to be the team captain for your child’s group. This ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for all!
How will my child get to their route from kick-off?
Tidy Up Tomball is unable to provide transportation for your child from the kick-off location to their assigned route. We ask that you either attend the event with your child or make arrangements for their transportation—both to and from the route. After completing their route, please ensure they return to the kick-off location to return supplies. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation!
Where should I park on my route?
We recommend parking in a public parking area near your route. On some routes, this may require you to take a short walk to reach your route.
