From the Organizer
Five year old, River Maddux, was recently diagnosed with leukemia and is now receiving treatment at Arthur M. Blank Hospital in Atlanta.
When Maddux became sick, they were initially told it was likely a virus. But as parents, they knew something wasn't right. After further testing, our worst fears became reality.
Everything changed overnight.
To give Maddux the care he needs, they have had to leave their home in Florida and relocate to Georgia.
They are now facing the enormous challenge of moving their entire household while caring for a child undergoing cancer treatment.
This walk is a chance to help ease financial burdens
- Travel expenses to and from treatments and appointments
- Food, gas, and daily living expenses for the family
- Bills and household costs while they focus on Maddux's care
If you are interested in sponsorship for the race please feel free to reach out to have a chance to be listed on the race shirt and signs at the check in table.
