The 2nd Annual Run for the Apples is a virtual race challenge that is a new part of the Greene Applefest held each September in Greene, NY. All runners & walkers are welcome.
When: Run or Walk anytime between 8/27/2026, 12:00AM and 9/24/2026, 11:59PM.
Challenge: Log as many miles as possible during the challenge period. You’re on the honors system. The top male & female contestants (with the most miles) win.
Where: Virtual - anywhere you want to run or walk!
Awards & Giveaways: We'll announce the overall winners (top male & female finishers) live at the Greene Applefest on Saturday, 9/26/2026 on the main stage. The 1st, overall male/female finishers will receive an award & a yummy Greene Applefest Apple Pie. Shirts can be picked up at Greene Applefest.
Why: Part of the non-profit Greene Applefest.
Entry fee: Early Bird pre-registration is $20.00* due by 7/31/2026. Regular registration is $25.00* closes 8/26/2026 @ 11:59 PM. Includes moisture-wicking race t-shirt.
Youth Registration (Ages 17 & under) $15.00* pre-registration due by 8/26/2026 @ 11:59PM. Includes moisture-wicking race t-shirt.
Multi-Person Discount of $2 off per person when registering more than 1 person. Must be in the same transaction.
