From the Organizer
On June 20th, we lace up for Angie.
Angie Lute Snodgrass was Edmond through and through. She grew up right across the street from the soccer fields. And in a lot of ways, she never really left them. She played through her youth, then collegiately at the University of Central Oklahoma, carrying with her the grit and joy that soccer builds in a person. She was 51 years old... a mom, a wife, a sister, a daughter, and the kind of friend people don't forget.
She passed away suddenly and unexpectedly this past February. And in her absence, the people who loved her most decided to do what she would have done — show up.
The Run For Lute 5K exists to celebrate Angie's life, raise awareness for preventive heart scans that can save lives, and fund the Angie Snodgrass Scholarship Soccer Fund at Oklahoma Energy Football Club (OEFC). This fund will allow competitive youth soccer players go to the next level without financial burden to their families. Because every kid deserves a chance to grow up loving this game the way Angie did.
Come walk, run, or jog. Bring your kids. Bring your whole crew. Bring someone who needs a reason to get outside.
Lace up. Show up. Go on git!
This one's for Lute.
