Join us for the inaugural Mitchell Red Cloud Jr. Memorial Triathlon (bike, canoe/kayak, & run), a community event dedicated to honoring the life, service, and sacrifice of Mitchell Red Cloud Jr..
This event is open only to participants who are 18 years of age or older on July 4, 2026. Participants under the age of 18 are not eligible to register or compete.
Hosted on Mitchell Red Cloud Jr. Day, this event brings together athletes, families, veterans, and community members to celebrate the enduring legacy of one of the Ho-Chunk Nation's most distinguished heroes. A proud member of the Ho-Chunk Nation and a recipient of the Medal of Honor, Mitchell Red Cloud Jr. demonstrated extraordinary courage and selflessness while serving his country during the Korean War. His actions exemplified the values of service, sacrifice, leadership, and dedication to others.
The Mitchell Red Cloud Jr. Memorial Triathlon is more than a race—it is an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made by veterans and service members while promoting health, wellness, perseverance, and community spirit.
