From the Organizer
Red Coyote is excited to announce the Fall/Winter 2026 Go Farther 10K Program starting Tuesday, October 27th and leading up to the Merry Mitchmas 5k/10k on Saturday, December 19th! Red Coyote Training Programs are FREE to people of all abilities (run or walk) to help get the community moving, stay motivated and achieve their personal goals. All participants will receive the official handbook and schedule through email and then ALL other communication will go through a private Facebook group that Red Coyote has created. You'll be sent the link to join that Facebook group and all the important details in the official welcome email which will go out a couple weeks before the program begins. If you have friends you would like to invite, please send them the registration link and not the link to the Facebook page. Although this is a free program, you must be officially registered to be granted access to the Facebook page. This 8 week support based program is designed for participants who can run (run/walk) a minimum of 3 miles and want a structured program that will assist them in increasing their mileage from the 5k to the 10k distance. There will be several special guest Pack Coaches to help you on your journey to 6.2 miles!
When you register, you'll have the option to purchase a Training Program shirt for $20.00. These shirts will be available to pick up about halfway through the program and we'll notify you when they are printed and ready. Red Coyote will only order the amount pre-purchased so if you'd like one, order at this time, they won't be for sale at a later date. We may have some people who participate from out of town virtually. If you'd like your shirt mailed to you, we're happy to do so for a $10.00 shipping fee. Any shirts that haven't been picked up 14 days after the program concludes will be donated to one of our charity partners.
There are 2 coached runs each week, Tuesday evenings at 6:00pm as well as Saturday mornings at 7:00am. The program kick off run is Tuesday, October 27th at 6:00pm at the Red Coyote Classen Curve store. Workouts will be at various awesome running locations around the OKC Metro! We'll always run 3 miles on Tuesday and will gradually increase from 3.5 to 6.2 miles on Saturday mornings. The only Saturday run that will be different is November 28th. That is Small Business Saturday on Thanksgiving weekend and the Red Coyote Classen Curve store will be hosting the annual Run It Off Run Club at 9:00am, we'll meet at that event to join the fun and festivities. The target race for this program is Merry Mitchmas on December 19th in Edmond but you can use this program to train for any race of your choice or just to run for fun!
If you have questions, there is an informational meeting scheduled or you can send email to chris@redcoyoterunning.com anytime.
