From the Organizer
As many of you know, Kristin and John met through running, so it only seems fitting to kick off their wedding weekend with one final run before they say, "I do!"
Whether you're a wedding guest, a running friend, or simply someone who would like to join, all are welcome.
📅 Friday, July 17th
The group will meet in front of the Poughkeepsie Grind at 6:25 AM for the run.
The plan is to run over the Mid-Hudson Bridge, then across the Walkway, and back to the Poughkeepsie Grind for breakfast. (Breakfast is optional.)
The full loop is approximately 4 miles, but there is absolutely no expectation that everyone completes the entire route. Participants are welcome to run, walk, or turn around whenever they'd like, making the morning as long or as short as they choose.
There will be fun Wedding Shakeout Run bibs for participants, and the first 100 people to arrive will receive one. If you'd like a bib, please plan to arrive before 6:25 AM, as bibs will be distributed prior to the start of the run.
This will be Kristin and John's final run before becoming husband and wife—and Kristin's last run as Kristin Pierantozzi—making it a special way to celebrate the start of their wedding weekend.
PLEASE NOTE: Parking is no longer available in the lot across from The Grind. Please plan to park on nearby streets, and carpooling is encouraged.
